An extract from the Friday Sermon delivered on 10th December 2010 by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul-Masih V (aba). In this excerpt, Beloved Huzoor reflects on the harrowing nature of the first ten days of Muharram and the tragedy of Karbala that took place 1400 years ago. He describes how the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) was martyred in an incredibly cruel and barbaric manner, causing a person's hair to stand on end. Beloved Huzoor explains that the oppressors completely lost sight of who they were raising their swords against due to a profound diminishment of their faith.
